Welcome to Audubon Golf Course
Designed in 1908 by Thomas Bendelow, the Audubon Country Club golf course has been regarded as one of the finest championship golf courses in the region for more than a century. The golf course features tree lined zoysia fairways and bentgrass putting greens and measures just over 6,800 yards from the championship tees. Recent updates by local architect, Spencer Holt, have kept the course current in its presentation. Lifetime home to hall of famers Pee Wee Reese and Paul Hornung, Audubon has entertained public figures like Bobby Jones, Bing Crosby, Happy Chandler, Walter Hagen, Babe Zaharias and Carol Channing in its storied past. In recent years, Audubon has been the frequent host of the Kentucky Open, Kentucky State Amateur, Kentucky Senior Amateur and KGA Mid-Amateur state championships. With its natural setting, close proximity to downtown as well as the University of Louisville and other Louisville landmarks, Audubon is the perfect country club home for golfers of all ages and ability levels.

Hole 1
Straight away par four with a downhill approach. A precise second shot is required.
Hole 2
Slightly uphill par four. An accurate approach shot is a must for this two tiered green.
Hole 3
A difficult par three, well-guarded by bunkers on both sides of the green.
Hole 4
Dogleg left par 5, a drive on the right center of the fairway is a must here.
Hole 5
The cross wind makes this benign par 3 much more difficult that it appears.
Hole 6
A short par 4 but a drive down the middle is a must with bunkers on the left and right of the fairway. An uphill approach to a sloping back to front green calls for a precise second shot.
Hole 7
The longest of the par 5s, requiring three well-placed shots to reach the green. The two-tiered green is one of Audubon's most treacherous.
Hole 8
Straight away par four with an uphill approach. Players typically add one-two clubs to get home to this narrow target.
Hole 9
Arguably the most difficult hole Audubon, a long iron or fairway metal is often required to reach the course's longest par four from the championship tees.
Hole 10
An excellent short par four birdie opportunity if you stay clear of the hungry fairway bunker and well-placed greenside bunkers.
Hole 11
A slight dog right par four. A precise tee ball will hit the speed slot leaving a wedge into the the two-tiered green.
Hole 12
A dogleg left par five with a creek running alongside. A good drive puts you in position to cross the creek, but a wayward drive will force players to layup.
Hole 13
The shortest of the par threes. The green slopes hard from right to left, making it difficult to land a short iron close to the hole.
Hole 14
The #1 handicap hole. A good drive puts you in position, but it is the uphill approach to a two tiered green is what makes this hole the most difficult at Audubon.
Hole 15
A shorter par 5, this is a good hole to get one back. The second shot must either cover or stay shy of the Principal's Nose bunker just shy of the green.
Hole 16
Straight away par four with an uphill approach. A sidehill lie and a massive greenside bunker await the approach.
Hole 17
Signature hole. This downhill par 3 is well protected by water and a long narrow bunker demanding precise approach.
Hole 18
The finishing hole is no easy task. Bunkers on the left and right of the fairway require a very accurate tee ball. A two-tiered green receives a mid-iron approach.
